On Tuesday at 10:03 a.m. a wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 4 p.m. until Wednesday 6 a.m. for Clackamas County Cascade Foothills, Cascade Foothills of Marion and Linn counties and Lane County Cascade Foothills.

"Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected," explains the weather service. "Winds are expected to be the strongest on exposed ridges or peaks. Isolated thunderstorms may also generate erratic strong wind gusts through tonight."
