On Monday at 1:36 a.m. a winter storm warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Tuesday 4 a.m. until Thursday 4 p.m. for North Oregon Cascades, Cascades of Marion and Linn counties and Cascades of Lane County.

"Total snow accumulations up to one to two feet. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "The heaviest snow will be Tuesday afternoon and evening, as well as Wednesday afternoon and evening."
