At 4:21 a.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service released a winter storm warning valid from 10 p.m. until Thursday 10 a.m. for Jackson County.
"For the Winter Weather Advisory below 2000 ft, snow expected. Total snow accumulations 3 to 6 inches. For the Winter Storm Warning above 2000 ft, heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations 6 to 12 inches," explains the weather service. "The heaviest snow is expected late tonight into Tuesday morning."
