At 11:20 a.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory valid from Monday 10 p.m. until Thursday 10 a.m. for Eastern Douglas County Foothills, South Central Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains and Southern Oregon Cascades.

"Total snow accumulations 10 to 15 inches, with up to 2 feet expected above 5000 ft. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph over high and exposed terrain," explains the weather service. "The heaviest snow is expected Monday night into early Tuesday morning."
