On Tuesday at 1:41 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory valid for Wednesday between 1 a.m. and 4 p.m. for East Slopes of the Oregon Cascades.
"Snow expected above 4000 feet. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 65 mph," comments the weather service. "Near-blizzard conditions characterized by very strong winds and low visibility are expected with the passage of a strong cold front Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning. Temperatures will fall quickly with the passage of the cold front."
