🥣🩵 United Rotary Clubs of Southern Oregon's month-long 𝘍𝘶𝘭𝘭 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘊𝘎, 𝘍𝘶𝘭𝘭 𝘏𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘎 campaign concluded with an extraordinary display of community generosity, raising $𝟳𝟲,𝟯𝟎𝟯 to support ACCESS and the Ashland Community Food Bank . Throughout May, 𝗥𝗌𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗌𝗺 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗌𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗌𝗎𝘂𝗲 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗎𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗌𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗌 𝗷𝗌𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗎 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗎𝗿𝗌𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗎 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗌𝗿 𝗳𝗌𝗌𝗱 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 in Southern Oregon. With food banks experiencing increased demand while facing declining funding sources, local Rotary clubs pledged to match community donations dollar-for-dollar up to $25,000. The community responded in a remarkable way. Together, Rotarians and community members 𝗰𝗌𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝘁𝗌𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗌𝗳 $𝟳𝟲,𝟯𝟎𝟯, 𝗲𝗻𝗌𝘂𝗎𝗵 𝘁𝗌 𝗜𝗿𝗌𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗺𝗌𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟯𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀 for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity throughout the County. The campaign highlighted both the growing challenge of hunger in Southern Oregon and the power of community partnerships to create meaningful solutions. Every dollar raised will help ensure that local food banks can continue providing essential services to families, seniors, veterans, and children throughout the Rogue Valley through local food pantries.
