Winter days will be getting a little longer, second by second, starting on the winter solstice.

Our days have been getting shorter and shorter for the last six months, which (combined with daylight saving time) has led us once again to the inevitable point in the year when the sun sets at an absolutely unforgivable 4:27 p.m. in Oregon.
