Description

A woman has been charged after a newborn baby was found abandoned in a supermarket bathroom.

The City of White Plains Department of Public Safety announced Wednesday that Guerlande Atila, 32, of White Plains, N.Y., has been arrested on a charge of abandonment of a child. She was arraigned Wednesday after being held in custody while receiving medical treatment.
