We are heartbroken to learn of the loss of one of the biggest Reedsport Boosters of all time-- Carey Jones.
Carey's battle with cancer ended today, passing away next to loved ones.
"Jonesy" was a big man-- literally and figuratively.
And this was necessary, to hold his big heart.
A retired law enforcement officer who served Reedsport for many years, Carey devoted himself to our community, to our schools, and to enriching the lives of Reedsport youth. Coach, administrator, school resource officer, board member, and one heck of an auctioneer, just to name a few roles he served.
His very large hat will be missed, and impossible to fill.
