Sheriff’s deputies are investigating after a boat crash off the shores of Sauvie Island left a woman dead and four other people injured on the 4th of July, officials said.

The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that the crash happened around 11:30 p.m. Saturday night when a 33-foot cabin cruiser collided with an aluminum dock walkway near the 14900 block of Northwest Gillihan Road on Sauvie Island.
