Community Notice: Active Threat Training at RA Brown Middle School.
This July, the Hillsboro Police Department will conduct active threat training at RA Brown Middle School, in cooperation with the Hillsboro School District, which is providing the use of the facility.
If you live or travel near the school on these dates, you may notice a large police presence in and around the building and you may hear the sound of blanks being fired inside. This is a planned training exercise. There is no danger to the public and no cause for concern.
Training dates and hours:
July 1, 8, and 15: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
July 22: 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Location: RA Brown Middle School, 1505 SE Cornelius Pass Road, Hillsboro
This training helps our officers prepare to respond and keeps our community safe. We thank the Hillsboro School District for their partnership and our community for their support.
