COOS BAY SCHOOL DISTRICT PRESENTS AT CITY COUNCIL At the September 16, 2025, City Council meeting, the Coos Bay School District shared highlights from the start of the school year and recognized outstanding leadership within the district. Interim Superintendent Gary Roberts opened the item by introducing Warren Labine, Marshfield High School’s representative to the Coos Bay School District. Warren provided an update on recent campus events, student activities, and fall sports, bringing the accomplishments and happenings at Marshfield High School directly to the council. Interim Superintendent Roberts then introduced recognition for Kara Davidson, current Principal of Sunset School, who was recently named State of Oregon Elementary Principal of the Year for her leadership at Eastside Elementary, prior to her move to Sunset School this school year. Principal Davidson acknowledged her staff for making these improvements possible. Coos Bay City Council presented her with a Certificate of Achievement.Photos from Coos Bay - City Government's post
