COOS BAY SKATE PARK REOPENS JUST IN TIME FOR GO SKATEBOARDING DAY

We’re excited to announce that the Coos Bay Skate Park is officially back open to the public!

Earlier this month, the park was temporarily closed due to vandalism that damaged the perimeter fencing and created unsafe conditions for users. Thanks to the swift action of longtime skate park volunteer Triston Reasor, along with John Cooper, the necessary repairs were completed this week. Triston, who has been a champion of the skate park since its inception, continues to be a vital force in keeping the space safe, functional, and fun for all.

With their hard work and dedication, the park is reopening just in time for National Go Skateboarding Day, Saturday, June 21st—a perfect way to celebrate community, creativity, and the spirit of skating.

We ask everyone to respect the space, report damage when you see it, and continue to take pride in this incredible community asset. Let’s roll into the weekend with gratitude for our volunteers and excitement for what’s ahead.
