DV MURDER INVESTIGATION - On 11/9/23, officers were dispatched to 140 NE 47th Avenue #35, regarding a reported self-inflicted gunshot wound. James Anthony Franco (33) told dispatch his wife, Alyssa Jean Franco (30), had shot herself. Officers arrived and found Alyssa deceased from a gunshot wound. Detectives arrived and began what would become an exhaustive and detailed investigation in cooperation with the Washington County District Attorney’s Office.

On 1/12/26, James Franco was indicted by Grand Jury, in Washington County, for Murder in the second degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

On 1/13/26, Detectives located James Franco in Washington County. He was arrested with the assistance of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Negotiations Team and was lodged at the Washington County Jail.
