Description
Earlier this week, our officers responded to a traffic crash near W Baseline Road and SW Dennis Avenue. When they arrived, they learned a dog was trapped inside one of the vehicles and the doors wouldn’t open.
So one of our officers did what most pet owners would hope for—he crawled through the trunk to safely reach the dog from the inside. The pup was completely unharmed and quickly reunited with their owner.
A little later, when a ride arrived for one of the people involved in the crash, that driver discovered they had a flat tire. The same officer grabbed a jack and helped them get back on the road.
Small moments like these don’t always make the news, but they reflect what service looks like in real time—showing up, helping where you can, and taking care of people (and pets) in our community.
