DEQ release - The Environmental Quality Commission will hold its next regular meeting on Thursday, Jan. 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Friday, Jan.16 from 9 a.m. to 10:35 a.m., in Portland and via Zoom. Public Forum is at 1 p.m., Jan. 15. All times are subject to change.  The Department of Environmental Quality will provide an update on Oregon's Clean Fuels Program, including context for how the program fits within the broader suite of clean energy strategies for Oregon and DEQ's plans for responding to the Governor's directive to expand and extend the program.  DEQ will propose amendments to Water Quality Program Fees. The proposed updates are essential to sustain the program's core surface water permitting, licensing, certification, and groundwater protection services.  DEQ will also brief the commission on the agency's rulemaking process and annual rulemaking plan.  On Friday morning, the commission will hear oral argument on a contested case regarding Gaston Heights, LLC.  Meeting materials, including links to staff reports, are available on the meeting agenda webpage.  Meeting location: DEQ headquarters (700 NE Multnomah Street, Portland) in the 3rd floor conference room.  Remote option: Zoom links and call-in details are available on the meeting agenda webpage.
