Hit & Run Suspect Caught Quickly.
Case #25-16395
On Sunday night around 8 p.m., multiple callers reported a hit-and-run at the intersection of Evergreen and Stucki. Officers responded quickly and arrived to find a license plate left behind by the fleeing vehicle, and helpful dash cam footage from the other driver. Within minutes, officers found the suspect vehicle parked at the Streets of Tanasbourne and located the driver nearby.
Ali Somow, a 29-year-old Hillsboro resident, was arrested for DUII, Criminal Driving While Suspended, and Hit & Run.
No one was injured in the crash, and thanks to the fast action of witnesses and strong teamwork between officers and the community, the case was brought to a swift resolution.
