Honored to Welcome Our Local U.S. Coast Guard! 🇺🇸🚁

Today, our Rotary Club had the pleasure of welcoming Commander John McWilliams, Lieutenant Commander Ron Elliott and Chief Warrant Officer Kevin Smith!

We learned so much about their operations, including the fact that some of their helicopters date back to the 1980s and that much of their infrastructure and equipment could benefit from modernization.

It was a great reminder of the incredible work these men and women do with the resources available to them.

Living on the Oregon Coast, we are especially grateful for the Coast Guard’s presence in Coos County and their dedication to search and rescue, maritime safety and protecting our community. 🌊

Thank you for taking the time to speak with us today and more importantly, thank you to all who serve for everything you do to keep our coastal communities safe!
