JUNETEENTH PROCLAMATION
The Coos Bay City Council unanimously approved a proclamation recognizing Juneteenth during its June 16, 2026, meeting. The proclamation honors June 19 as a day of remembrance and celebration of freedom, commemorating the end of slavery in the United States and recognizing the ongoing pursuit of equity, equality, and justice.
