LAST CHANCE FOR SUMMER READING
The Summer Reading Program is winding down, but you still have time to get your entries in for our drawing! Finish up those books and turn your slips into the Coos Bay Public Library by August 16 to enter the grand prize drawing!
This Saturday, August 9 from 10:30-12:00 p.m. the Library will be hosting another Improv workshop. All adults are invited to come practice your teamwork and listening skills through this fun medium. Snacks and Coffee provided.
Also, on Saturday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. join us for Spanglish, a fun no-pressure group designed to practice conversational Spanish. No language skills needed, learn while speaking to other Spanish language learners and native speakers.
On Tuesday, the Summer Reading Program will be presenting a library circus with Henrik Bothe. Come join us at the Mingus Park Amphitheater for a whirlwind adventure filled with laughs, juggling, magic, and plate spinning. This program is free for all ages from 5-6 p.m.
Wednesday: put on your workout clothes and get to the Library for Zumba from 5:30-6:30 p.m. This fun and energetic program is great for beginners and those with serious dance moves and will help you work up a sweat while enjoying Latin and world music that is sure to get your feet moving. Bring plenty of water!
The Tween club will be meeting on Friday to make light up paper lanterns. Whether you want your lantern to look like a flower, a fish, or a Pokémon pokeball – we will provide the materials to make your new light uniquely yours. Open to tweens age 9-14 from 3-4:30 p.m. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
Finally, on Friday, August 15, everyone is invited to the summer tie-dye party. Bring your own shirt and we will provide the dye. This all ages event will be held from 4-6 p.m. at the Library.
