Last week we gathered to honor one of our own. After eight years of service, K9 Rocket is officially retired. Alongside his handler, Officer Scott Brennan, Rocket spent his career protecting this community, backing up his fellow officers, and winning over just about everyone he met, from families at public demonstrations to the fans who cheered him on at Hops games. At his retirement ceremony, we celebrated everything he gave to Hillsboro and sent him off to a well earned life at home with the Brennan family. Thank you for your service, Rocket.
