UO release - By: Rob Moseley, He won the first Heisman Trophy in Oregon football history, he now represents the program with honor and integrity as a long-time NFL veteran, and Marcus Mariota continues to find other ways to positively impact the place he spent his college career. Mariota and his Motiv8 Foundation are once again partnering with UO athletics to help send local youth to an Oregon football game. Two years after leading an effort that helped over 1,500 kids from the greater Eugene-Springfield area attend a UO match-up against Hawai'i, Mariota is spearheading a similar drive to get kids out to the Ducks' home game against Oklahoma State on Sept. 6. Fans can contribute to the effort by purchasing $35 tickets to be donated toward the drive via goducks.com/Motiv8. Mariota's fellow all-time UO greats Justin Herbert and Sabrina Ionescu are offering their support as well. Kidsports and the Boys and Girls Club of Emerald Valley were two of 11 local organizations that helped distribute the more than 1,500 tickets to local kids in 2023. They'll once again be the primary beneficiaries of this year's drive. "I want to do it again because it's about more than football, it's a memory that sticks with them forever," Mariota said. "I know Oregon football fans will do everything they can to help get as many kids as possible into Autzen Stadium for this game."
