City of North Bend release - Sealed bids for the construction of the Visitor’s Information Center Remodel will be received at the North Bend Public Works Office until November 12, 2025, 2:00 p.m.  ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS : CITY OF NORTH BEND, OR., Remodel of Structure at 1858 Union Ave.  Sealed bids for the construction of the Visitor’s Information Center Remodel will be received at the North Bend Public Works Office located at 835 California Ave. in North Bend, OR 97459 until November 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after this time will be returned unopened.  The Project includes the following Work per proposal:  Renovate existing Store Front in historical materials, remodel interior bath, replace entire roof, paint structure and install new doors on north face of concrete/cmu structure.  Bids are requested for the following Contract:  Remodel of Structure at 1858 Union Ave.  Anticipated substantial completion is by April 15, 2025 (?).  Obtaining the Bidding Documents:  Information and Bidding Documents for the Project can be found at the following designated website: https://www.northbendoregon.us/rfps  Electronic copies of Bidding Documents may be obtained by submitting a bidder registration form found at the designated website. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other electronic copies of Bidding Documents will be offered only through registering at the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than from the Issuing Office.  The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is:  City of North Bend, Public Works Dept., 835 California Ave, 97459.  Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine paper copies of the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office.  Bidding Documents including full size drawings may be purchased from the Issuing Office at a cost of $45 per set, during the hours indicated above. Cost does not include shipping charges. Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via USPS Priority Express.  A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 1:00 pm on November 6, 2025 at the project site, 1858 Union Ave. in North Bend, Oregon.  Bidders must prequalify with the Owner as specified in the Instructions to Bidders, five (5) days prior to Bid opening. All Bidders must be “equal opportunity employers” and comply with the appropriate provisions of state and federal law, and registered with the Oregon Construction Contractor’s Board. The Contractor and all subcontractors on the project shall pay at least the state prevailing rate of wage as determined under ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870.
