The City of North Bend is currently accepting applications for a Temporary Parks Maintenance Worker in the Parks and Recreation Department. This seasonal position offers a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and want to contribute to the care and upkeep of our city’s parks and recreational spaces. Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour; Location: North Bend, Oregon; Closing Date: Monday, August 4, 2025, @ 8:00 a.m. As a Temporary Parks Maintenance Worker, you'll be responsible for a variety of maintenance and janitorial tasks that help ensure our parks remain clean, safe, and welcoming. Duties include landscaping, equipment operation, facility upkeep, and supporting the overall maintenance of park grounds and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Include: Performing grounds and landscape maintenance (e.g., mowing, trimming, pruning); Operating various tools and equipment (e.g., mowers, chainsaws, tractors); Conducting janitorial services for park facilities; Supporting the repair and maintenance of park equipment and structures; Assisting with irrigation system monitoring and maintenance; Ideal candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude, good communication skills, and the physical ability to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions; A valid Oregon Driver’s License is required. This is a temporary position with a typical work schedule of 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., with occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on the City’s needs.
