FAMILY PEACE CENTER PARTNERSHIP | The Hillsboro Police Department is proud to announce a new partnership with the Washington County Domestic Violence Resource Center to enhance services for community members impacted by Domestic Violence. Beginning in October 2026, HPD will transition its current internal advocate resource model to the Domestic Violence Resource Center. This partnership will provide individuals and families affected by Domestic Violence with expanded, centralized services, including 24 hour advocacy and comprehensive support. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our Domestic Violence Advocates for their exceptional service and dedication to community members during times of crisis. Our advocates will have the opportunity to continue their work as part of the Domestic Violence Resource Center team. We are excited about this collaboration and the increased level of support it will bring to those affected by Domestic Violence, Sexual Abuse, and Child Abuse. Located in Hillsboro, the Domestic Violence Resource Center is housed in the Family Peace Center and brings together multiple resources in one location to better serve our community.
