ONE YEAR OF URBANFORM CONNECTING COOS COUNTY

It’s been one year since UrbanForm launched in Coos County, and the project has grown into a countywide resource connecting all eight jurisdictions through a single digital platform.

What began in October 2025 with Coos Bay, Bandon, and North Bend has expanded to include unincorporated Coos County, Coquille, Lakeside, Myrtle Point, and Powers. Today, UrbanForm provides information on more than 42,000 parcels, making zoning, land-use, permits, and other development information easier for residents, property owners, businesses, and community partners to access.

The first year has also demonstrated the value of collaboration. Local planning staff have worked with UrbanForm to develop tools that make it easier to understand development activity and identify opportunities for housing and community growth.

One Year of Progress

UrbanForm recently released its Coos County Progress Report, highlighting the growth and impact of the platform during its first year, including more than 16,500 parcel records viewed and the continued expansion of the platform across the county.

Read the Coos County Progress Report to learn more about the project’s first year and what’s ahead: https://www.urbanform.us/post/our-coos-county-progress-report-one-year-one-county-eight-jurisdictions

The success of UrbanForm is a great example of what can happen when local governments and community partners work together to make information more accessible and support housing, development, and economic opportunity throughout Coos County. A special thank you to CCD Business Development, Southern Oregon Coast Regional Housing (SOCRH), Middle Missing Housing Fund (MMHF), and Oregon Community Foundation for their partnership.
