Literacy tutoring at Scott Elementary School in Northeast Portland. Secretary of State Tobias Read has written to the Oregon Department of Education for more information about how state early literacy dollars are being distributed.

Secretary of State Tobias Read sent another in a series of sharply worded letters to the Oregon Department of Education this week, this time focused on the state’s still-nascent early literacy efforts.
