Please join us in congratulating Deputy Otis on his graduation last Friday from the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) Basic Police Academy.  
  
Over his 16 weeks at the academy, Deputy Otis has completed training in areas such as criminal law, defensive tactics, emergency vehicle operations, firearms, communication skills, and crisis intervention; building a strong foundation for a successful career as a Patrol Deputy.  
  
He now returns to Douglas County to begin the next phase of his training journey. We are proud of his hard work and dedication, and we’re excited to have him back, continuing his commitment to serving our community.
