Portland should see light rain by the late afternoon Tuesday. Rain continues Wednesday. Oregonian file photo.

The first in a series of rain-making systems will push across the Portland/Vancouver area by Tuesday afternoon and into Wednesday morning putting an end to what has been a long winter dry spell of about two weeks.
