The OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union State Baseball Championships were held Friday and Saturday at locations throughout the state. In the 2A/1A championship at PK Park, Eugene, Saturday, No. 1 seed Umpqua Valley Christian, Roseburg, beat No. 2 seed Kennedy, Mt. Angel, 2-1. In the 3A championship at Champion Car Wash Field, Roseburg, No. 1 seed Blanchet Catholic, Salem (29-2) beat No. 2 seed Cascade Christian, Medford (24-7), 4-3. In the 4A, No. 7 seed Pendleton/Nixyaawii (23-8) beat No. 1 Marist Catholic (25-4), 14-3 (5) at Rotor Rooter Park, Keizer. Also, at Roto Rooter Park in the 5A game, No. 5 seed Summit (23-6), Bend, beat No. 3 seed Canby (25-6), 5-1. And, at the same location in the 6A game, No. 11 Sunset (22-9) downed No. 9 Grant (22-8), 6-5.
