***Press Release*** Case #: S2026-00604 Coos Bay, Ore.- On April 21st 2026, at 11:55 p.m., a Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to a report of a fight in progress on Washington Road just south of Coos Bay. After an investigation, Joseph C. Grady (24) of Coos Bay was arrested on the charge of Assault IV Domestic. Mr. Grady was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked and remains in custody. “Police action is not indicative of guilt. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”

Celebrate Earth Day with the Oregon Dunes Restoration Collaborative and the Coos Watershed Association on Saturday, April 25 from 10AM to 12PM at BLM's 80-Acre Parcel on Trans Pacific Parkway. We will be removing Scotch broom and European beach grass. The Scotch broom is relatively small, so this will be a good family event!
