In August, President Donald Trump fired the Bureau of Labor Statistics commissioner for the offense of stating factual economic data, (“Trump fires Bureau of Labor Statistics director after dismal employment report,” Aug. 1). The person she reported to — U.S. Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer — responded with the MAGA standard of courage: silence.
