VCB News release - The Southwest Oregon Regional Airport (OTH) saw its final Denver (DEN) flight of the 2025 season depart Saturday, October 25, 2025—marking the end of a record-setting year for passenger growth and route performance. The United Express Denver route was one of the airport’s biggest success stories, seeing nearly triple the number of enplanements in 2025 compared to 2024. When combined with strong San Francisco (SFO) service, overall passenger traffic through September was up nearly 30%, positioning OTH to surpass every year since 2016. “The Denver service exceeded all expectations,” said Airport Executive Director Rodger Craddock. “Expanding from two flights a week to daily service created an entirely new level of accessibility for travelers heading to or from the South Coast.” The route’s performance was remarkable, with a 187% increase through September. Final numbers for the seasonal DEN route will be available next month. Craddock credited the success to community support, local partnerships, and strong cooperation with the VCB and TSOC, Bandon Dunes Resort, and South Coast residents who chose to “Fly OTH.” "The VCB's marketing efforts in Denver, a market we have not targeted in the past, showed remarkable success," said Janice Langlinais, VCB Executive Director. "Our Oregon's Adventure Coast digital, google and social advertising resulted in more than 11,000 visits to the OAC website and 307 outbound clicks to United Airlines' booking site." With the Denver season wrapping up, airport officials are already focused on next year’s growth. Planning is underway to pursue additional destinations and continue expanding air service options for both leisure and business travelers. The success of 2025 demonstrates how vital OTH is to the region’s economy, tourism, and year-round connectivity.
