The Pacific Northwest gets a prime-time game Monday, and it’s a good one. The Seahawks (4-3) host the Chicago Bears (5-2) at Lumen Field (5:15 PM PT, ESPN), with one of the NFL’s best defenses facing one of its most improved offenses. Mike Macdonald’s defense ranks first in the league in yards allowed (233.9 per game) and passing yards allowed (144.4), and it hasn’t allowed any of its seven opponents to throw for 180 yards. Its last game was a 20-3 win over Kansas City in which Patrick Mahomes never got the Chiefs inside the red zone. Seattle also has the NFL’s leading receiver: Jaxon Smith-Njigba has 867 yards and eight touchdowns through seven games.

-11/02/26 - Update - LCSO #26-5314 - Missing Person Located On November 1st at about 1:10 am, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a missing person from the 1200 block of Janus Court in Springfield. 30-year-old Avery Christopher Maitia had left the address at about 2:00 pm on October 31st. Maitia was ultimately located at an LTD station and contacted by LCSO Deputies. He was checked on and he has since been safely taken home. The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is grateful for all who helped in the search.
