A former prisoner has filed suit against the county and a sheriff's deputy, accusing him of granting her favors in exchange for sex while she was a prisoner in the downtown jail. He remains on paid leave, according to the sheriff's office.

A woman held at Multnomah County’s downtown Portland jail has filed a federal civil rights lawsuit alleging a sheriff’s deputy gave her gifts in exchange for sexual acts.
