With four-games remaining in the regular NWAC men’s basketball season, Southwestern Oregon’s men have moved into second-place in the South Region trailing leader Umpqua. On Saturday, the Lakers won at Clackamas, 86-73. SWOCC plays at Chemeketa, Monday, Feb. 16, 2 p.m. Umpqua leads (10-2, 22-3), followed by SWOCC (8-4, 20-5), Clark (8-5, 16-10) and Lane (8-5, 15-11). The Laker women lost their fourth-in-a-row, Saturday, 104-50, at Clackamas. SWOCC (2-10, 7-16) plays at Chemeketa, Salem, Monday, 4 p.m. Southwestern’s baseball team opened the 2026 season against Olympic, at Central Kitsap HS and won all four games: Saturday, 9-0 & 10-6; Sunday, 8-2 & 13-4. Lakers (4-0) host Treasure Valley for three games, Saturday & Sunday, Feb. 21st & 22nd. No scores on Softball.
