Southwestern Oregon’s men’s soccer team tied Portland, at Portland, Friday, Sept. 4th, in an NWAC match, 1-1. The Lakers (0-2-1, 0-1-1) plays at Rogue CC, Medford, Saturday, Sept. 12, noon. Still searching for their first win of the 2026 collegiate season, SWOCC’s women lost their fourth-straight, Saturday, 3-2, at Klamath. Southwestern (0-4-0, 0-2-0) hosts Rogue, Wednesday, Sept. 9th, 2p, on the Coos Bay campus. The Laker volleyball team swept two at College of the Redwoods, Eureka, CA, Saturday, Sept. 5th, 3-0 & 3-0. SWOCC (4-1) goes to the Big Bend Crossover Friday & Saturday, Sept. 11th & 12th. The Laker cross-country team ran at the Linfield Harrier Classic at McMinnville Saturday. Lydia Mones De Oca led Southwestern’s women in the 4K race by placing 29th (14:52.86) out of 142-runners. Emmanuel Salinas led the Laker men in 25th (18:58.80), out of 159-runners in the 6K race. SWOCC is next scheduled to run Sept. 19th at the Jim Hunt Humboldt Invite, McKinleyville, CA, Cal Poly Humboldt.
