Description
A 17-year-old girl died Monday morning during a hike in Linn County after playing in a tree during a hike east of Sweet Home.
The teen was hiking with her father on the Soda Creek Falls Trail behind Cascadia State Park when she playfully decided to hang from a tree branch, the Linn County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. The branch broke, and the teen fell onto another log. Then the branch fell on top of her.
