THE FINAL PIECE OF MINGUS PARK REWILDING

Last Friday, April 24, 2026, City staff installed an interpretive sign in partnership with the Coos Watershed Association, marking the final piece to the Mingus Park Rewilding project! The project began nearly three years ago and has changed the landscape of the southern section of Mingus Park. What once was an unused area under water most of the year, is now a beautiful walking path where native plants grow as part of an improved drainage system. We’d like to extend a special thanks to the Judith Ann Mogan Grant Foundation for awarding grants that funded this project.Photos from Coos Bay - City Government's post
