The Sheriff’s Office has 15 funded Dispatcher positions serving the citizens of Lane County. They cover the dispatch center operations 24/7, with 2 to 4 dispatchers working at a time. They dispatch Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies, but also Coburg Police Department, Oakridge Police Department, Oakridge Fire Department, Lane Community College Security (after hours), Parole and Probation, the investigative team for the District Attorney’s Office, Junction City Police, and Lane County Mobile Crisis Services. During major incidents, officers from other agencies will often switch to our radio channels as well to improve communication between responders.

When the phone rings they never know what’s going to be on the other side. They answer the phone ready with their extensive training and years of experience, prepared to answer a simple question or help save a life.

Thank you to all our dispatchers that have devoted their careers to helping others!
