Many of products at the Whole Foods in Northwest Portland's Pearl District now use digital price tags, also known as electronic shelf labels.

The Whole Foods in the Pearl District replaced many of its paper price labels that are affixed to shelves across the store with digital price tags this month, the first of the chain’s eight stores in the Portland area to embrace the up-and-coming — albeit controversial — technology.
