Description

The Cathedral Tree is 300-year-old Sitka spruce, found in the forest on the north Oregon coast. A hiking trail to the towering tree begins at the Astoria Column parking lot.

It’s no secret that Oregon is home to some very big trees, but at least one of those trees is something of an open secret, hidden behind one of the Oregon coast’s biggest attractions.
