TREASURES, TALES, & TEA: WHAT'S HAPPENING AT THE COOS BAY LIBRARY  
  
The Coos Bay Public Library Foundation is having a garage sale! This Saturday, August 29th, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. stop by the library and check out what treasures await. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the library building fund so shop ‘till you drop and help the foundation members reduce their clutter while picking up some fabulous finds and help raise money for a new library.  
The Sci-fi/Fantasy Book club will be meeting online on Tuesday, September 1st from 5:45-6:45 p.m. to discuss this month’s book, All Systems Red by Martha Wells. This book is the first of the Murderbot Diaries series which is now a TV show starring Alexander Skarsgard. Sign up at https://www.coosbaylibrary.org/event/copy-science-fiction-and-fantasy-book-club-17110 and we will send you a link to the meeting.   
  
Feeling thirsty? Thursday, September 3rd, the library will be hosting two programs featuring tasty beverages! First, our monthly tea tasting will be available from 12-2 p.m. Teas, Tinctures, and Tonics will once again be providing two fabulous teas for you to try along with a small baked good. Come on in a relax with some good tea, good conversation, and maybe a coloring page or two. If that doesn’t strike your fancy then try our Mocktail Happy Hour from 4-5:30 p.m. Join Natural Grocers’ Nutritional Health Coach, Cheryl, for a free mocktail demonstration and sampling station. We will be making simple delicious recipes featuring Wishgarden Herbs. Discover healthier alternatives for calm refreshment while enjoying your new favorite summer drink.
