Wanted Felon Arrested After Foot Pursuit Through Hillsboro Neighborhood.
Bike officers on patrol observed a man they recognized as Josue Ramirez (DOB: 07/07/92), known to have two felony warrants and one misdemeanor warrant out of Washington County. As officers approached, Ramirez attempted to flee—first on a bicycle, then on foot.
Despite an unsuccessful Taser deployment, officers maintained pursuit as Ramirez jumped multiple residential fences and tried to enter a home. Officers quickly set up containment, allowing them to locate and safely arrest Ramirez in a community member’s backyard.
He was taken into custody on his outstanding warrants, as well as new charges: Escape III, Trespass I, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
This arrest is another example of our officers’ vigilance and teamwork in keeping Hillsboro neighborhoods safe.
