WASTEWATER TREATMENT LAB PASSES FEDERAL ANNUAL STUDY

Each year the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has a Discharge Monitoring Report – Quality Assurance Study. This study is to ensure that our Wastewater Treatment Plant Laboratory is able to perform testing at a national standard. Our laboratory again has passed this study and can continue to self-perform testing on the wastewater as well as testing for the Coos Bay North Bend Water Board and the special sanitary districts (Charleston and Bunker Hill). Congratulations to our Water Quality team for another great year of passing this study and ensuring that the City can continue to self-perform many tests.
