At 10:10 p.m. on Thursday, the National Weather Service released a special weather statement until 11:15 p.m. for Grande Ronde Valley.
"Breezy to locally windy conditions happening along La Grande through Summerville, including along I-84, of 30 to 40 mph through the evening hours. Difficult driving conditions are possible, especially for higher profile vehicles," states the weather service.
