Description

Slow down. Drive, brake, and turn slowly. Slow down, increase your distance from the vehicle in front of you, and give yourself longer stopping distances.
Plan ahead. Check road conditions and plan your route.
Carry chains and an emergency kit. Fit chains to tires prior to a storm and carry them in your trunk.
Be aware. Look out for all road users, including bicyclists and pedestrians.
Turn your lights on to increase your visibility to other road users.
Do not pass snow plows or road treatment equipment.
