We’ve wrapped our 3rd Annual Multi-Agency Cadet Competition. On Saturday, September 26, cadets from seven agencies put their skills to the test in realistic scenarios: domestic violence calls, suspicious persons, trespassing, building searches, unknown-risk traffic stops, and unwanted persons. Thank you to everyone who took part this year: Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office, Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, Redmond Police Department, Beaverton Police Department, Gladstone Police Department, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, and Hillsboro Police Department. A special thank you to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for hosting us at their facility, and to the Portland Metro Explosive Disposal Unit, whose team gave cadets two live explosive demonstrations and a hands-on look at their robots, portable X-ray machines, bomb suits, and an explosive detection dog. Events like this only happen because agencies are willing to share their time and knowledge with the next generation. Thank you for investing in these cadets. #HillsboroPolice #PoliceCadets #HillsboroOregonPhotos from Hillsboro Police Department's post
