Description

An aerial view shows Ross Island lagoon in Portland. An investor group, HeronPark LLC – formed and led by a former executive of the giant engineering consulting firm Tetra Tech -- wants to buy the island to deposit contaminated Superfund sediment in its lagoon.

The huge global engineering firm Tetra Tech looms over the push to buy Ross Island for Portland’s Superfund cleanup, but the conglomerate’s exact role remains opaque as a group of unnamed private investors touts the local project.
