While visiting the Holiday Lights at Shore Acres State Park this year, be sure to stop by and admire the City of Coos Bay’s tree. This year’s theme honors the City’s thirty-one years of Tree City USA recognition from the Arbor Day Foundation. In order to be recognized as a "Tree City" Coos Bay must annually meet or exceed four standards set forth by the Arbor Day Foundation and maintain those standards throughout each year.

The City’s tree is directly in front of the Garden House, where it can be easily enjoyed by the 50,000+ visitors expected at this year’s event. Be sure to go in the Garden House for cookies and a steaming cup of apple cider or coffee while enjoying the holiday decorations.
